The comparison of wound healing time of staphylococcus aureus infection with treatment of self produced apple cider vinegar and commercial apple cider vinegar topically on mice (mus musculus)

Abstract :
This research was conducted to determine and compare the effect of self produced and commercial apple cider vinegar on the Staphylococcus aureus infection wound healing time topically on mice. Eighteen of three months old of female mice BALB/c strain with 25 gram average body weight was divided into three groups. Group A was treated with self produced apple cider vinegar, group B was treated with commercial product cider vinegar, Group C as control group was not given treatment. Each treatment was consisted of 6 mice. The treatment is given topically three times a day. Observation of wound healing was characterized by the exfoliation of the scab and wound closure. The experimental design used in this study was using completely randomized design (CRD). The data were analyzed by analysis of variance method and then was followed by Honestly Significant Difference with a significance of 5%. The result showed that the treatment using self produced and commercial apple cider vinegar affects the healing time of the Staphylococcus aureus infection on mice. Treatment using self produced apple cider vinegar and commercial product does not show any significant difference on the wound healing time, thus self produce cider vinegar can be used as an alternative to the commercial product cider vinegar
