Abstract :

An experiment was conduct to study the effect of restricted feeding quantitatively on fat deposition (carcass and abdominal) and biometrics of reproductive organ of quail hens. The research was an experimental observation applying Complete Randomized Design. The treatment done was restricted feeding quantitatively, i.e P0 : ad libitum feeding (group control), P1 : 90% restricted feeding of ad libitum, P2 : 80% restricted feeding of ad libitum, and P3 : 70% restricted feeding of ad libitum, in which every single treatment consists of 6 repetitions of 12 quails each. Restricted feeding treatment was done for fourteen days old quail until its sexual maturity. After its sexual maturity, the feeding was given in ad libitum. Observation was conducted for biometrics of reproductive organ, the level of abdominal fat and the level of carcass fat. The results of experiment indicate that the restricted feeding consequently significant influenced (P
