The effect of goat fraction-3 zona pellucida (gzp3) as antifertility substance on oestrous cycle of mice (mus musculus)

Abstract :

The purpose of this study was to determine the possibilities of oestrous cycle alteration of mice (Mus musculus) immunized with fraction-3 of goat zona pellucida as an anti fertility substance. The first immunization, gZP3 suspension was mixed with Complete Freund’s Adjuvant (CFA) 1:1 followed by boosters twice with the interval of 11 days, the suspension was mixed with Incomplete Freund’s Adjuvant (IFA) 1:1. Oestrous cycles were observed twice daily by means of vaginal smear evaluation in 27 days. The results showed that oestrous cycle were similar (p>0.05) among the treated groups. It concluded that immunization by using of gZP3 as an anti fertility substance was not altered the oestrous cycle.
