Abstract :
This study examines the citations contained in the final work of PPDS-I Airlangga University- Dr. Soetomo Hospital student in 2012 and 2013. The background of the author to undertake this study is the existence of a fact that students are required to make a PPDS final work that will be tested on the National Board Examination, and PPDS-I Airlangga University- Dr. Soetomo Hospital had reached the highest value. Therefore, the authors wanted to know how quotations may be used by PPDS students as a reference in the preparation of the final work. The purpose of this study include: (i) determine the pattern of citation of the final works of students PPDS-I Airlangga University-Dr. Soetomo Hospital, (ii) determine the characteristics of literature citation of the final work PPDS-I Airlangga University-Dr. Soetomo Hospita student, (iii) determine the pattern of the final works of authorship in citations PPDS-I Airlangga University-Dr. Soetomo Hospital students, and (iv) determine the half-life literature cited in the final work of PPDS-I Airlangga University-Dr. Soetomo Hospital student. This study used a descriptive quantitative bibliometric approach. The results obtained are: (i) from 420 final work, it is known that the pattern of citations is the total number of quotations may reach 21.081 citation is the work of others, so there is no autocitation, (ii) the characteristics of the literature citation of this final work is likely to use the primary literature , particularly the journal of 64.5%. The title of the most frequently cited journal is the Journal of Gynecology Obstetry that as many as 243 citations, more citing literature in English with the percentage reached 90%, and the age of the cited literature is still relatively young because mayoritan are in the period of 0 to 10 years of age , which is equal to 65.10%. (iii) the authorship pattern shows Sudigdo Sastroasmoro is the most frequently cited authors, as many as 61 times, (iv) half-life of the fastest literature is Andrology study program, which is 4 years old and the oldest was Urology, which is 15 years.
