Abstract :

Each year the University Dr.Soetomo (Unitomo) Surabaya always facing new admissions. Where Unitomo it’s self already has a test system to test academic potential new students.But applications owned Unitomo not support temporary problem in case the computer crashes or dies participants must return to the beginning in working. Of the way, the XML can be a solution because it is easy to learn and implement. When participants answered questions a request is sent from a client to a service,it will form the request message in XML form. Vice versa, when a service sends the response to the client,the service change response message format in XML form when participants login. Implementation has been done on the application of academic potential test using XML, each capable of storing temporary problem examinees incoming freshmen.
