Abstract :

This research head for, first, to describe the fantastic structure of eleven short stories ina book of short stories collection Dunia di Dalam Mata. Second, this research alsodescribe the meaning of the short stories through by the first structure analysis,thereafter it can be found the characters of fantastic stories by the eleven short stories.The backgrounds of choosing these eleven short stories in this book of short storiescollection as the research object is because these short stories are presented in assortedthemes in one book. In addition, these short stories lift up Indonesian cultures by mythsand household problematic and society’s scope spaciously. The conlusion of thisresearch is the conflicts that happened in Indonesia such like: social problematic andfamily conflict which end on death or mental disorder, poses the ways of young writersto convey Indonesia’s problematic in different package. Then the fantastic stories thatpresent on every short story, many of them only have a role as wrap of stories withconflicts that appears on human daily life like stories that lift up the social problematicand family conflict. Meanwhile, the other part, fantastic stories that appears not onlyhave a role as wrap of stories, but also as a part that attached on supranatural storieslike myths, legend, and another stories that lift up cultures problem in another society,with no need to involve natural laws.
