Abstract :

This research was carried out to determine the viability and motility of Muscovy drake's spermatozoa in adiluter combination of skim milk, fructose and egg yolk. In this research, sample of semen were taken from Muscovydrake. Semen was collected using the manual massage method and evaluated for viability and motility spermatozoa.The semen was divided into two groups. In control (P0) semen was diluted in diluter combination of skim milk and7,5% fructose, while in treatment (P1), semen was diluted in diluter combination of skim milk, 7,5% fructose and 5%egg yolk. Ratio between semen and diluter was 1 : 5 on each group. Data were analyzed using Two–way ANOVA(factorial). The result showed that there was significant difference (p<0,05) between treatment (P1) and control (P0) inviability of spermatozoa, while in motility of spermatozoa there was no significant difference (p>0,05) betweentreatment (P1) and control (P0). The conclusion of this research was the diluter combination of skim milk, fructose andegg yolk was able to increase viability and motility of Muscovy drake's spermatozoa.
