Subjective workload of nursing staff in intensive care unit

Abstract :

RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar is type “A” teaching hospital. Based on raw calculation, there are discrepancy of total number nursing staff needed, it’s surplus in nursing staff in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) room. It requires analysis of workload to describe the quaity and quantity of employment nursing staff in Intensive Care Unit ( ICU) room RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar. This study aim to analysis workload of nursing staff in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) room RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar. It was an observasional research with cross sectional design. The result of study are 71,43% in subjective workload, it’s means there are 20 nursing staff felt over workloaded. Using time and motion study that were 67,99% of effective time work. The result of cumulative workload are 53,57% nursing staff had measurable workload. It can be concluded that there was a measurable in subjective and objective workload, work rotation of nurse, rewards, insentives, and coherent punishment can improve performance and reduce workload.
