Abstract :
The aim of this study is to describe ability to tell of 7 – 8 years old student based on the classification of sentence in Kalijudan Elementary school Distric of Mulyorejo Surabaya. Every child on that age has been able to make a sentence, but the ability of each child in a sentence different. That is because the child's personality factors and family environment. The method used in this study is descriptive method with qualitative approach. Collection data technique in this study is consider using the techniques involved conversation, the researchers noticed children's use of the phrase in the story. It also used the technique to obtain the data record orally from the research object of the sentence is ruled by the students. Results obtained from this study is the classification of sentences in children aged 7-8 years and sentence patterns. In children aged 7-8 years SDN Kalijudan Mulyorejo District Surabaya is able to make a single sentence, compound sentences and minor sentences.
