Abstract :

Insiden cedera kepala merupakan penyebab morbiditas dan mortalitas utama yang banyak disebabkan oleh kecelakaan. Lebih dari 75% cedera tersebut terjadi di kepala, dan telinga merupakan organ sensoris yang paling sering terkena Tiga puluh persen korban cedera kepala mengalami fraktur tulang tengkorak dan 18% diantaranya melibatkan fraktur tulang temporal.1 Cedera tulang temporal terjadi melalui cedera mekanikal langsung dari benda asing atau cedera tidak langsung melalui trauma kepala, dengan disertai atau tidak fraktur yang disebabkan transmisi tenaga melalui kepala.2 Fraktur tulang temporal dikelompokkan menjadi longitudinal, tranversal, dan campuran. Kepustakaan pada umumnya menyebutkan jika 80% kasus fraktur tulang temporal adalah longitudinal, sedangkan 10% adalah tranversal, dan 8% adalah bilateral.1 Spektrum fraktur tulang temporal sangat bervariasi, mulai rentang cedera ringan tanpa disertai defisit fungsional hingga luka berat atau tajam dengan defisit multifungsi yang mengenai saraf pendengaran ataupun vestibuler, saraf fasialis, serta isi intrakranial.3 Cedera kepala akut di ruang gawat darurat sering ditangani oleh tim trauma dari bedah saraf dan dirujuk ke spesialis THT-KL setelah pasien stabil. Penanganan dengan benar sangat diperlukan dalam mengurangi sisa komplikasi yang dapat mengganggu kualitas hidup pasien. Tujuan dari penulisan makalah ini adalah melaporkan tiga kasus fraktur tulang temporal dengan komplikasi cedera saraf fasialis beserta penanganannya.
