In the early 21 centuries, precisely in 2003, a global agenda launched by the United Nations through its organ which is called the World Health Organization aimed to control the epidemic of tobacco consumption through the Convention on Tobacco Control or the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC). Indonesia, as a country that has not ratified the convention does not escape from the tobacco control advocacy. One of organization advocating for tobacco control is the Tobacco Control Support Center (TCSC) EastJava, which plays an important role in advocating tobacco control in Indonesia. This study was to review the strategy launched by TCSC East Java as a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) and the various which made tobacco control advocacy succeed in Indonesia. This study will examine tobacco control advocacy carried out in Indonesia in tobacco control advocacy case studies conducted by TCSC East Java in the timeframe 2010-2015.This research was an explanatory with Participatory research methods. This study outlines the success of tobacco control advocacy conducted by TCSC East Java. Some terms usedin seeing the success of tobacco control advocates do TCSC East Java, among others: Donor-NGO relations and the role of NGOs in influencing policy making at the district / city in Indonesia.
