Still engulfed with the problem of war on terrorism, the US presence in the Middle East was challenged further in 2007 when Israel's – their closest partner – were asking for help to conduct an air strikes towards Natanz, Iran. The request is based on the potential security threat faced by Israel over Iran's nuclear developments in the area of Natanz. But the United States were not able to meet the demands for air strikes as requested by Israel. However, a few years later, in 2010, Iran face some several issues regarding their nuclear industry in Natanz. This also led to the hampered development of their nuclear power for several years. And in 2012, blames were put towards the United States, claiming that she was responsible concerning issues related to Natanz that Iran obtained, which in this case the United States used cyberwar through Project Stuxnet to attack Natanz.
