Abstract :
Research aims to understand the influence of the provision of amoxicillin and tetracycline on feature of urine on local cats ( fellis catus ) .This research use 27 local cats which were divided into three the treatment group. The first treatment ( P0 ) is a control group without administration of antibiotics on nine cats. The second treatment ( P1 ) consisting of nine cats treat with amoxicillin 20 mg / kg of body weight every day in perorally. The thirth treatment ( P2 ) consisting of nine cats treat with tetracycline 50 mg / kg of body weight every day in perorally. This treatment would continue to be held for five days .The sample collection urine is conducted twice , the first is that before treatment and the second is the sixth day or one day after last treatment , each sample is 5cc of urine. A urine sample examination including on physical urine examination consisting of a color and froth , clarity or cloudiness , smell , acidity (pH), the specific gravity , were also given urine sediment examination and the examination of urine chemistry that including on protein , glucose and urobilin. The data collected will be arranged within one table. The results showed that there was no significant effect on protein content test and a test of glucose in the control group and the group that after the antibiotics tetracycline, and amoxicillin. The results of the examination and the description of the specific gravity of urine sediment also showed similar results, there is no change or influence.
