Abstract :
The aims of this research was to know about the effect of Aloe vera as feed additive in commercial feed to broiler feed consumption and feed efficiency. This study use of 32 chicken from Hubbard strain. The design of the study was completely randomized design with factorial, this research used eight treatments and four replications. All treatment were grouped into P1D1 (dry Aloe vera, dose 0 %), P1D2 (dry Aloe vera, dose 0,5%), P1D3 (dry Aloe vera, dose 1 %), P1D4 (dry Aloe vera, dose 1,5%), P2D1 (fresh Aloe vera, dose 0%), P2D2 (fresh Aloe vera, dose 0,5%), P2D3 (fresh Aloe vera, dose 1%), P2D4 (fresh Aloe vera, dose 1,5%). Data was analyzed with Analysis of Varian (ANAVA). If found the significant difference on any treatments then continued to Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. The result showed that fresh or dry Aloe vera did not influence feed consumption of broilers significantly (P>0,05), but improved feed efficiency.
