Abstract :
Abstract This article explain about the funcion of coffee shop which not only as a place to get beverage products but also as a place where we can find a happiness, satisfaction, and prestige. This research has a purpose to analyze the effect of coffee shop as an indicator that can affect the willingness of the consumer to come to their place, so that can form a consumer culture. This research used a qualitative method of research. The process of collecting data done through of interview with 2 people who is the supervisor and the owner of Folks Coffee and Tea, also 20 people of subject that is the consumer of that coffee shop. Beside of the researcher doing the observation, or utilize the data and documents that exist. The result of this research can be found that the existence the coffee shop in Surabaya that begin to glow now has been viewed by their consumer as a place which is not only has a function as a place to get some coffee, but it also has a function as communication instrument and self expression in an interaction activitiy and interpersonal or group socialiszation.
