Abstract :
Abstract The kinship ties of the Balinese in Surabaya City shows in Surabaya’s Banjar membership. As a small community in Surabaya, the way to conserve culture proven by the nurture pattern of children that has their own differences. This research is to understand about the value of Hinduist in nurture pattern of children that applied by Banjar’s member in Surabaya and about the way of the member to face the problem in this nurture of Hinduist value. Ethnography method used to descripe the Hinduist value planting for children by Banjar’s member in Surabaya. Data collected with observation and interview. The Hinduist value planting in nurture pattern of children by Banjar’s member in Surabaya includes religion education in the familiy, in the school, and the community. The nurture pattern of children that used by Banjar’s member get by the equalities of faith, general habit, value, norm, and rules from the community of Hinduist-Bali. The Hinduist value planting that given to children, then accepted by children as a controler for themselves. Dharma lesson and cultural’s value as controle make children as the next generation can interpretat and accept the differences between them and the other people around them, so that they can conserve the existence of their culture.
