Abstract :
This research is examine the reception readers of women of gender role for men through the Hot Papa column in Jawa Pos For Her rubric. Through reception analysis methods, researcher wanted to explore the reception of women readers toward male gender roles are shown in column Hot Papa. This study using a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) in which the researchers chose six informants who have different characteristics of socio-cultural backgrounds.The conclusions from this study indicate that the reception of informant for gender roles of men in the column Hot Papa in Jawa Pos For Her, have differences with each other. That is because the different backgrounds of informants.
