Abstract :
Drone attack was US major policy on defensive force that has been approved by Obama since his presidential election on 2009. The policy thus widely known as Obama’s Drone Policy was also claimed as legal, ethical, proportional and in accordance with The Just War Theory. This statement could relates to two background issues, first that US now is in process of developing drone for “combat robot” in the future, and second because US drone policy on counterterrorism raises questions and debates about war ethics itself. That drone strikes on counterterrorism operations reportedly brings a lot of innocent victim in Pakistan and Afghanistan, two countries US been declared as the “headquarter” of Al -Qaeda and Taliban. Aside of that, the strikes raised complaints and critics from various international organizations, condemning the strikes as unethical, immoral, illegal and couldn’t be referred proportional in any way.
