Assessment of nurse financial incentive compensation system based on equity

Abstract :

Compensation is the most difficult and challenging study in human resource management. The employees expect fairness of compensation system made the equity become the heart of the compensation system. Based on the preliminary study in conducted in 2012, 93% of nursing staff felt less satisfied always not satisfied with the financial incentive compensation system. This study was conducted to analyze the nurse assessment on financial incentive compensation system a based on equity theory.This study was an observational approach by sample random sampling 40 respondents nurses who served in inpatient A, B, C and D.The results revealed that individual equity was considered less fair, while internal equity and external equity was considered quite fair. As for the comparison between nurses who served in inpatient obtained results were inpatient A, C and D considered quite fair while inpatient B unfair.The conclusion that can be drawn equity in incentive compensation services does not mean that every employee receives compensation equal magnitude, but the must be adapted to work performance, type ofwork and employment risk.
