Abstract :
Israel Defence Forces (IDF) carried out a military offensive in the Syrian Civil War since January 2013 that was triggered by the transfer of weapons carried out by Hizbullah. The anomaly is that the military attack was carried out when more than 5 years have managed to maintain the status of ceasefire and peace efforts were also continuously pursued. In examining this, the study focuses on two things: (1) Potential threats; (2) Source and magnitude of threat. Based on the research process, it has been found that the motive of military attack carried out by Israel in the Syrian Civil War through preemption attack policy is due to: (1) Hizbullah and Israel have a history of conflictual relations, so that the occurrence of re-cyclic is very possible in the future. (2) Hezbollah already has the capacity of armaments that could have a major devastating effect on Israel if the weapon is used to attack, this is the source and magnitude of the threat posed by Hezbollah to Israel.
