Abstract :

The aim of this research was to determine the use of yohimbine as an antidote ketamin and xylazine general anaesthesia in chicken.Twenty chicken were randomly devided in to two treatmen groups. The first were injected intramuscullary a combination of ketamin (10 mg/kg) and xylazine (2 mg/kg). The second treatmen were injected intramuscullary a combination of ketamin (10 mg/kg) and xylazine (2 mg/kg) following injection of yohimbine, given intravenously (0,1 mg/kg) at 15 minute after the injection of ketamin-xylazine. Mean duration of anaesthesia and frequency of respiratory were evaluated. Data analyzed statistically by t - independent sample test SPSS Version 9.0.
