Abstract :

This study aims to determine whether is there effect  a constructive play which is from recycled stuff of handcraft to increasing creativity of student on fifth grades at SDN Ngagelrejo III/398 Surabaya. The reason why the reseacher  choose this study  because education system of elementary school in Indonesia more emphasis monoton learning such as (routine of memorirized, talkactive by lectures).  In addition, the students rarely had stimulated to see a problem from a variety of viewpoints or  providing alternatives to the settlement of a problem. (Convergent Thinking). In fact, education in Indonesia is still not able to develop the potential and creativity of children so optimally, students still viewed as object rather than subject. The class sample of this study is VA and VB SDN Ngagelrejo III/398 Surabaya wich are 27 students as experimental group and 22 students as control group so total of subjects are 49 student. This research was conducted nonrandomized pretest - posttest control group design with sampling technique was purposive sampling and random by group. The collection tool of data using a figural creativity test. This test has been standardized in Indonesia with a validity value of 0.6227 to 0, 7849 and 0.9 reliability. Analyze data using statistical techniques independent sample t test using SPSS version 19.0 for windows. From the result of analysis data, is obtained from independent sample t tests that t of value is 1, 36 and the significance of value is 0.179 and because the data would be said to have effect if the significance <0.05 so the data does not have the effect or Ha is rejected. It has meaning that there is no effect about a constructive play which is from recycled stuff of handcraft to increasing creativity of student on fifth grades at SDN Ngagelrejo III/398 Surabaya. It is caused that the measuring instrument so subjective, the subjects aren’t choosen by random, lack of control extraneous variables and external validity.
