Abstract :

This study aimed to know the effect of cervical mucus pH while artificial insemination on conception rate of dairy cattle in highland and lowland. twenty eight dairy cattle were in highland and nineteen in lowland were used as sample and measured the pH of cervical mucus on every dairy cattle, manually, in a moment before the artificial insemination had started. Observation continued for ninety following days after the artifical insemination had done to determine the percentage of conception rate. And the result analyzed, descriptively, to represent the result of conception rate and the average number of the cervical mucus pH. The results of this study showed that the conception rate of pregnant dairy cattle in the highland was 71,43% with the average of cervical mucus pH was 7,68 and in the lowland was 7,95 with conception rate 57,9%. Whereas, non-pregnant dairy cattle's average of cervical mucus pH was 7,5 in the highland and in the lowland was 7,47.
