The effect of caffeine in washing and capacitation media of the goat spermatozoa on pregnancy rates of local goat

Abstract :

This experiment used 8 local goats and were divided into two groups (4 goats each).  Goats in  group 1 received intra servical artificial insemination of frozen semen of ettawa goat in diluter Early Balanced Salt Solution (EBSS) media without Caffeine, and goats in group 2 received intra servical artificial insemination of frozen semen of ettawa goat in diluter Early Balanced Salt Solution (EBSS) media with Caffeine   The result showed that the percentage of life and motil spermatozoa of semen diluted in  media with caffeine were better than without caffeine. However, there was no significant difference in the  results of pregnancy rates for semen diluted in EBSS with caffeine or without caffeine.
