Abstract :

Introduction: Attention deficit is one of the characteristics of three signs children with ADHD. ADHD child's attention span is shorter than the normal children and it is affects the level of concentration. Flip flop game is a good game to improve short-term memory and concentration. This game may increase attention and it will also affect the level of concentration. The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of the flip flop game to concentration in children with ADHD. Method: This study used pre-experimental design. The population was ADHD students in Yayasan Harapan Bunda Surabaya. Ten students were recruited by means of total sampling. Independent variable was flip flop game and dependent variable was level of concentration. Data was collected by SNAP IV Rating Scale and analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with level of  significance alpha ≤ 0.05. Results: The result showed (p = 0.003). It was mean that flip flop game could increase concentration in children with ADHD. Discussion and conclusion: It can be concluded the flip flop game is affected to level of concentration in children with ADHD. This therapy recommended for teachers and parents in providing non-pharmacological therapy to increase the concentration of children with ADHD. Further studies should involve  larger  sample and assessing the level of hyperactivity and impulsivity in children with ADHD.
