Abstract :
This article is discuss about nationalism in THHK School in Mojokerto as a Chinese education institusion and its role in Chinese nationalism spreding to the students which is have foreign citizenship. THHK School in Mojokerto as a foreign school which is has Chinese orientation must adapt with Indonesia situation after the independence proclamation. Because of the situation, THHK’s students have dual orientation in their nationalism. The datas are mostly from memorial school book, courants, archives, photos, and interview with the alumnus and former teachers. The conclution in this article is the nationalism in THHK School is not only from the school and the main orientation of the school itself, but it also can be from interaction between the students and the native peoples and the assimilation in their daily life. Their nationalism shows that they have plural identity. It can change alongside with situation in Indonesia and also because the Chinese is minority. The political situation in Indonesia make the Chinese have dual nationalism, whereas they still proud become Chinese and hold the Chinese culture, but they also love Indonesia because they life in Indonesia, work in Indonesia, and probably die and buried in Indonesia.
