Abstract :

This article discuss about the semi-militer organization, PPRI The establishment of PPRI began when the Japanese occupation in 1942. The members of PPRI which is mostly teenagers was trained in Joshi Seinen Shuishintai established in 11 November 1944. Before the PPRI members came to war area to help the man armies, they have given military education. This is the real fact that the women was joined together in independence war in Surabaya against the Dutch colonialism in 1945. The PPRI activities was commanded to help the Indonesia army to hold the independence. They prepared to help the army in front of war and also behind the war. The conclusion of this article is PPRI activities was focused on helping Indonesia army to hold the independence in front of war and behind the war, especially in health, informant, public kitchen, and also help the victims. The PPRI role is very important during independence war.
