Abstract :

Diplomatic relations deteriorated during the Indonesia's New Order make the most people inIndonesia blind with the development of ideas that occurred in Russia in a certain period. Thisshort article describes about the history of psychology in Russia, while it also describes how thecontribution of the scholars to the development of Russian domestic psychology. There wereseveral debates in the history of Russian Psychology between idealism and materialism idea.Although in the Stalin era, the spirit of mechanical materialism became the basis of developmentof psychology in the Soviet Union, but the spirit of idealism and humanism still live secretly amongtheir thinkers.
