Abstract :
The purpose of this research to know the effect of crude Arthrospira sp in feed on optical density and Immunoglobulin A in layer. The design used in this research was completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 9 replications. The first treatment is without giving crude Arthrospira sp (0 g/kg feed), as a control (P0). P1, P2 and P3 are the experimental animals fed crude Arthrospira sp in their diet at doses 0.5 g/kg feed , 1.0 g/kg feed and 1.5 g/kg feed Each animal vaccinated with the H5N1 strain of avian influenza after being fed crude Arthrospira. The dependent variable in this study is Ig A (Elisa). The independent variables is provide crude Spirulina [(-)/(+)]. Statistical analysis showed a significant difference (p <0.05) among treatments, the optical density of Ig A is 0.536 -0.671 and the percentage of Ig A is 49.115 to 61.406% in layer. The average optical density of Ig A shows that the highest value in the P0 treatment, which is not significantly different from P1, but significantly different from P2 and P3. The lowest OD value in the treatment of P2 and P3 were not significantly different from P1. The average percentage of Ig A shows that the high value in the P1, P2 and P3 treatment. The lowest percentage value lies in the treatment of P0 was significantly different from P1, P2 and P3 treatment.
