Abstract :

The international political environment changes substantially as the Earth enters a period of rapid bio-physical transation driven by climate change. Climate change has impact on the national security of the state around the world, including in South Asia. This article argues that climate change has contributed to conflict in South Asia. The relation is not direct. Climate change creates resources insecurity which turns into human insecurity on food, water and shelter. The condition is worsened by geographical condition, demogra-phic characteristic and partition in South Asia. Those have made South Asia an unstable region with many potential conflicts comes.
