Abstract :

So far, the study about internationalization of currency in International Political Economy (IPE) always use mainstream approach that is liberalization with market mechanism based on the first-world experience. But, China still value the importance of state’s role, not market mechanism, to be involved in its internationalization of currency efforts. China internationalize its currency with prudent policy by following gradual phases that maintain China’s interest to protect its growth. Therefore, China’s case is unprecedented in the field of IPE and also and anomaly of the West conventional theory of currency internationalization. This is what is called in this article as China’s version to internationalization of curency.
