The relationship between self acceptance and depression in perimenomapusal woman

Abstract :

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between self-acceptance anddepression in perimenopausal women. Because the transition during menopause which is calledperimenopause is a crisis in mid-life adult woman and threatened self-adjustment and selfconcept (Deutsch, 1945 in Avis, 2003). To achieve a self-concept, someone should be able to run aacceptance for themselves (Burns, 1993). The research was conducted in women who are inperimenpausal age range, namely 45-51 years. The amounts of subjects are 41 people that havehigh and middle score in depression. Based on the analysis of research data derived r value by -0.546, is there relationship between self-acceptance and depression in perimenopausal women,where the relationship is negative which means inversely proportional relationship.
