Abstract :

Abstract: Childbirth helper greatly affected the safety of mothers and babies during childbirth. The Department of health set targets 95% of childbirth in please by medical personnel in 2015. Until recently in the village of Brongkal sub-district of Pagelaran Malang has not yet reached the targetthat is amounted to 79,3%. The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors that affects maternal maternity traditional birth attendanton the WHO approach at the village of Brongkal sub-district of Pagelaran district of Malang. This research is descriptive analytic research with quantitative approach. This research is cross sectional study with a sample of 55 respondents. The sampling techniques that we use is simple random sampling. An independent variable in this research is knowledge, attitude, personal reference, age, social economy, the affordability of health care facilities, and culture. The dependent variable in this study is maternity moms on traditional birth attendant. Data analysis using chi-square test and logistic regression. The result showed that of chi-square analysis results, there is a relationship between the dependent variable and independent variable. There are three factors that have a significant correlations is the personal reference, the affordability of health care facilities, and culture. The most significant factor is the personal reference (sig. = 0.001, with the Exp (B) = 11,264). The conclusion in this research is personal reference has an influence on the selection of the birthing aid on traditional birth attendant.
