Abstract :

Adolescent girls diet has been a serious problem. Unhealthty diet which can make an eating disorder is most adopted by them. A lot of commentary from people about an ideal girl which is beautiful and slim be one of the reason of that problem. The purpose of this study is to identify adolescent girls diet behaviour based on WHO’s approach theory so using indepth interview. This study is descriptive with qualitative approach. The subject of this study are choosen by snowball technique. The result shown that from diet behaviour, the most method which adopted is to control intake of carbohydrate. Second things is from thought and feeling, the most influencer are from knowledge, beliefs, and attitude of subjects are not precise enough. The third variables is personal referens which are parents and friends be a most important person for adolescent girls. Then resources which is influence on diet behavior are finance ability and media access like internet. The last variables is culture from the other person about diet also support diet behavior of adolescent girls. The conclusions, all the variables from WHO’s approach theory are the reasons of doing something even there is relationship. A knowledge is got from informations based on mass media that show everything which spread on people. Attitude which is choosen also influence by personal references. The suggestion for adolescent girl is giving education about an healthy diet and the information about nutrition. An education about self-efficacy is needed by adolescent girls facing the environment.   //
