Abstract :
ABSTRACT Boiler is heavy equipment that can lead to accidents in the workplace. To reduce the work accident, then the suitability of operator compliance with the operation of such devices must be appropriate to the use of the boiler can be properly and safely. The purpose of the study was to complately the operator’s compliance boiler UU Uap 1930 in accordance with the operation and maintenance efforts boiler at PT. Pupuk Kalimantan Timur. This research is a descriptive observational study. The population is all boiler operators in PT. Pupuk Kalimantan Timur, for the study sample using purposive sampling to obtain 50 operators Boler. The results of this study indicate that respondents who had the highest number of respondents who are older have a group of 28 people, most educational level was high school that is 32 people, longest service life is the operator with a new working period as many as 38 people and obtained lack sesuaiaan results obtained using the boiler because the company is a labor shortage that has the ability as a operator senior, operator training is often held, but to improve the quality of carrier junior operator to senior operator is rarely done. Advice for companies is a boiler operator senior propagated, so that at each different work shifts have 4 or more operator senior by providing training for operators of junior Should monthly reports for boiler operation are always in P2K3 report on the meeting to keep can be monitored if the boiler is still working properly or when an error occurs operation of the boiler can be caught early.
