Abstract :

Information production is so abundant for this era, so every one can products information about every thing. So that in using information that available freely in the  Internet network requires a special ability especially in terms of evaluating the information obtained. This is related to a person's literacy skills. Then the second phenomenon is widespread emergence of a community that offers a variety of literacy activities that could hone and develop information literacy skills of its members. One of them is Goodreads Indonesia (GRI).  This paper is the result of research that has been conducted to describe the information literacy skills of community GRI Regional Surabaya. By using descriptive method, this paper will provide an overview of their information literacy skills and will also be expanded with the presentation about skill of thinking as well as the link between both of them. The research was conducted at the Regional Surabaya because when compared to other regional, GRI Surabaya classified as area that very intens for exceeding some activities in regional Yogyakarta, Semarang and even seed the regional Jakarta. This research was conducted both online and face to face in places that used to be the gathering place for them. By using criteria or standards according to (Bundy, 2004) that information literacy skills have 10 specific criteria. And based on the results of research conducted, it has been found that the majority of the criteria, GRI Regional Surabaya community has a relatively good ability that as many as eight criteria. While the skill of thinking from the members of GRI Regional Surabaya community were measured by the 6 level of ability based on Bloom's Digital Taxonomy is good too. Furthermore, based on the analysis likes the previous result from (Keeane, 2014) showed that there is a link between the information literacy skills and skill of thinking that the views from some of the existing indicators. This is as the result of the previous  research that shows the same result from (Keene, 2010)
