Abstract :

The practice of field work is intended to gain knowledge and skill directly, knowing a method of granting and benefits broodstock and fry are produced by giving fodder marine worms (Arenicola sp) and beef liver at broodstock compare,studies directly and applied the theory with practice of production at the place of business shrimp fry, technique for maintenance, and to knowing the process of the production and marketing at a venture in fry shirmp vanamei (L. Vanamei). The market demand in this type of shrimp vanamei relatively higher than any other type of shrimp. Worms sea and squid given as the primary feed in the maintenance of the broodstock because it contains an amino acid (protein) high so it can stimulate the growth of broodstock gonad because derived from fresh ingredients. Beef liver is very rich in nutrients, especially protein content 47,52%, 38,70 fat, 7mg calcium, 358 mg phosphorus, and 6,6 mg iron where such content is very beneficial to the broodstock gonad. (Fatah et al., 2004)as for the nutrient of marine worms are : dry ingredients 14, 0548%; ash 3,2489%; crude proein 6,6368%; crude fat 3,584%; crude fiber 0,1787%, calcium 0,9693%,It make the maturity process of female broodstock become more quickly 4-6 day and normally takes 5-7 day. The process of fry on vanamei shrimp include broodstock management, maintenance, mating and spawning, as well as the process of harvesting to post harvest process. Broodstock management in activities including preparation of a fry tank water quality management and feeding sea worm (Arenicola sp) and beef liver. Feeding the sea worm and beef liver is aim to help gonad maturation accelerate that will influence on broodstock mating. Broodstock mating process of vanamei shrimp occurred every day during the production with a fertilizied between 15-20/ind. The dosage of sea worms were given is 20-30% biomass while for beef liver dosage is half sea worm dosage.
