Abstract :
Thirty-eight ewes with similar weight and age were used in an experiment to determine pregnancy age base on progesterone and estradiol concentrations. The ewes were injected twice with PGF2 11 days apart before being bred to synchronize the estrous cycle and to remove the existed corpora lutea. The pregnant ewes were same maintained in an individual pen. Blood samples were drawn weekly during pregnancy until parturition (i.e. week 20 of pregnancy) for progesterone and estradiol analyses using radio immunoassay solid phase technique. The result showed that progesterone and estradiol concentrations increased in accordance with age of pregnancy. Equation models of progesterone and estradiol followed the pattern of Y = 0.6994 + 2.1201 x – 1.4178 x2 and Y = 5.0749 – 3.3101 x + 0.7241 x2 – 0.0574 x3 + 0.0015 x4 with determination coefficient (r2) were 0.9235 and 0.6352 (p
