Abstract :

This study was carried out to find out the ability of giant gouramy fry 40 to 80 days old for digesting feeds that contain glucose, sucrose, dextrin, and starch in the diets. The study wanted to know carbohydrases activity on the giant goramy fry as well.To measure digestibility values were used indirect methods using Cr2O3 0,5 % as an indicator that had been done by Takeuchi (1988). Carbohydrases activity assay used methods that had been done by Chiu and Benitez (1981).The results of the study indicated that the digestibility values of diets containing glucose 91,88 % and sucrose 91,68 were the same (P>0,05). They were higher than the diets containing dextrin 89,15 % as well as starch 80,28 % (P
