Abstract :
There is a great challenge in the global trends of protected area finance. This article reviews the fund raising opportunities available to managers, and public/private sector relationships. Later sections consider various ways in which extra finance can be generated and secured from tourism: through parastatals, development assistance, user fees, and corporate contributions. There are several possible motivations of business corporations. They could be the promoting the corporations, supporting its industrial aspect, accessing the nearby resources, compensating the damage the corporations have caused, or acquiring a good image for their corporation and products.
