Abstract :
This research explained the archetype of folktale of Raas island (CRPR) throughpsychoanalysis approach of Carl G. Jung. That archetype include archetypal figure andarchetypal imagination. This qualitative approach research used 44 folktales of Raasisland as the object of the study. Data collection used techniques of (1) monitoring, (2)photographing, (3) recording, and (4) interview. The data were obtained in the forms oftranscript, translation, and the analyzes of those types. Related to the purpose of theresearch , the results show that (1) the archetypal figure of CRPR include the figure of:God, saint, the poor, parents, ghost; and (2) archetypal imagination that include: waterghost, sky creature who gets married with earth creature, the parents who knoweverything, flying horse, and the wife whose breasts were sliced by her husband.
