Program pengembangan kesehatan: masyarakat wuwuharjo dalam proyek inovasi

Abstract :

One of special attentions in anthropology is the change in society and culture that is planned through development program. Culture is a medium enabling development to succeed. This paper aim is to explain how development program as new innovation in society with objective referring to adoption theories of innovation and other relevant theories. As illustration, case of rural society was shown in Wuwuharjo, the slope of Sumbing Mountain, District of Magelang. This rural society showed motive of reception and accomplishment of a new innovation that is planned by the government, through the Department of Health and government apparatus in the level of sub-districts and villages. The reception of innovation that has been modified in accordance to local social and cultural environment could become a reference material for similar programs. This modification could minimized the social and cultural shock, so that this program could be accepted by the society.
