Abstract :

Many corporate social responsibility programs are ineffective because they are not based on the social need of the local community. This paper is based on a descriptive-and-qualitative research on the needs of the society in the social responsibility program of mining companies in Madura. This paper shows that the oil companies had conducted community development programs in education, health, economic, culture, social, and in religion activities aspects. There was a policy about community development program that was constructed by the local goverment. The models of corporate social responsibility that could fullfil the social need of the local community directly involved the community
