Abstract :

The aims of this research was to find the motility and viability percentage of the sperms of merino sheep in two different kinds of semen extender with post thawing motility examination. Fresh semen was collected by artificial vagina, then it was divided into two groups, egg yolk skim (P1) and egg yolk tris (P2) extenders. Next step it was the freezing process. The semen was examined their motility and viability post thawing The data was analyzed by ANOVA (Analysis of Variant,) followed by t test. The result showed no significant differently between egg yolk skim (P1) and egg yolk tris (P2) extenders (P>0,05). Moreover the highest average sperm motility and viability was using of egg yolk tris extenders.
