Abstract :

Livestock is a promising agricultural sub-sector, but the high prices of commercial products to encourage alternative use of local ingredients. Engineering Sponge intravaginal progesterone (Spinpro) is one way to do for reproductive efficiency through an arrangement of the estrus cycle called estrus synchronization. Estrus synchronization can provide benefits such as cattle births occur about the same time so as to facilitate management and maintenance. This study aims to determine the right time to repeal Spinpro to induce estrus and pregnancy in crossbreed goats ettawa.        Crossbreed Goats Ettawa as many as 21 were divided into three treatment groups P1, P2, and P3 sequentially namely revocation Sponge intravaginal progesterone (Spinpro) containing MPA dose of 60 mg day 14, 15, and 16. Artificial insemination is done when the symptoms have lust looks after the revocation Spinpro. Pregnancy detection is done using ultrasonography on day 30 after insemination.        The results showed that all the goats in the treatment of P1, P2, and P3 experience lust with physical symptoms of vulvar swelling and red colored mucosa, cervical mucus, as well as the visible presence of standingheat with time averaging P1 48.1357a ± 0.08 hours, P2 48.1785a ± 0.07 hours, and P3 48.15a ± 0.09 hours. Results of analysis using the F test showed that there was no significant difference among the three treatment groups in influencing the speed of lust. The percentage of goat pregnancy P1 and P2 which is 71.43% of which five of the seven goats experienced pregnancy while P3 57.14% where four of the seven goats experiencing pregnancy.
