Abstract :
Almost all libraries have applied information technology, especially the use of information systems in terms of operation and management of the library. Implementation of the system is done mostly partial and to meet the needs in a moment without considering the needs of the system in the future. Many libraries are willing to rebuild the system because the old system was considered not to support the process of managing a library. Problems often encountered that the library does not yet have ITMP (Information Teknology Master Plant), so it does not have a clear and sustainable of road maps when building a library information system. Library ITMP should have planned, so as to build systems ranging from transactional level, data processing and till the level of utilization of the data warehouse to the needs of executives in the library. Besides this, the system should be built based on the needs of library users and not vice versa, users who follow the process in the system. This condition results in the library information system can not optimally streets and tend to stay behind even very easy to be replaced with other application systems. ITMP could run and built optimally if it has data center and right in the selection of its technology platform. Data center and web-base platform is a solution to start building a good peprustakaan information systems. Library information system with data center and web-base is very easy in developed and re-engineering of the system is also easy to do to support the needs of the service in the library.
