The role of location against gastrointestinal nematodosis on cattle at west madura

Abstract :

The experiment was designed to know the prevalence of the the role of location against gastrointestinal nematodosis on cattle at west Madura, 271 fecal samples of Madura cattle were takenrandomly according to the age of cattle (> 12 months of age) from four locations; coastal area (105), cattle traffic area (38), mountain range area (77) and hinterland area (51). In the experiment the floatation technique(MgSO method) was used. The results showed that prevalences study of worm infestation given high significant (p< 0,01), among cattle traffic area (71,05%), were the highest, afterward coastal area (70.47%), mountain range area (58,44%) and finally hinterland area (17,35%).
