Abstract :
Superovulation is an effort to increase the amount of ovulation in a cycle by the injection of gonadotropin hormones in the female animal's body where the animals were injected with FSH and PMSG preparation or a combination of PMSG and hCG. The aim of this research is to know the effect of PGF2α, PMSG, and a combination of PMSG and hCG on pregnancy rates and litter size of mice (Mus musculus). Twenty four mice used in this research were divided into 3 groups, respectively received 0.55 mg PGF2α, 5 IU PMSG, and 5 IU PMSG in combination with 2.5 IU hCG injected intraperitoneally. After treatment the mice were kept together with male mice for 5 days. ANOVA showed no difference (p>0.05) on pregnancy rates and litter size of mice.
