Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the changes of liver histopathology after giving carbofuran on Balb/C mice using different doses. The research was done on February, 28th 2012-April, 30th 2012 in the Anatomy Veterinary Department and in the Pathology Veterinary Department Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Airlangga University. Twenty female mice (Mus musculus strain Balb/C) aged 10 weeks with body weight 25-30 g were used. The mice divided into four groups; P0, P1, P2, and P3 was given oraly with physiology NaCl 0,5 ml/day, 0,0208, 0,0417, and 0,0833 mg/kg body weight of mice/day. Treatment started for 10 days. The analysis was done through the Kruscal Wallis test which was followed by Mann-Whitney test. This research showed that carbofuran can cause inflamation and necrosis on the liver histopathology.
