Abstract :

This experiment was conducted to determine the rumen fermentation condition (VFA concentration and acetate, propionate, butyrate molar proporsions) of Ongole Grade Cattle. Three female rumen fistulated Ongole Grade Cattle were used for rumen fermentation parameters were fed ammoniation rice straw (ARS), soybean straw (SS) and rice straw (RS). The value of rumen fermentation parameters were analysed using cross over (complete block cross over design). The result showed that VFA of Ongole Grade Cattle fed ARS, SS and RS have value 69.72; 71.58; 56.78 mmol/l. The result showed that molar proporsions of acetate, propionate, butyrate of Ongole Grade Cattle fed ARS, SS and RS have value 68.21; 70.05; 64.44 and 23.95; 19.25; 16.63 and 6.85; 5.33; 5.30.
